Like you need a hole in the head...

There's no subtle way to work nose piercing into an ordinary conversation. And the Internet is really not the best way to find out someone has gotten her nose pierced. But there you go. I did. Yesterday.

Why?

I'm not sure I have a definitive answer. I've always liked how it looks. I don't want to be pigeon-holed as a soccer mom just because I'm in my thirties and have two kids. So throw in a dash of rebellion and a little bit of fun. Maybe I do have a definitive answer, huh?

I knew you were going to do it!!! I'm so proud of you! Do you feel totally hot? Or is your nose still kinda red? Since I had mine pierced for several years back in the day, here's what people will say:

1) Did it hurt?
2) How can you blow your nose?
3) When you sneeze, do boogers come out the side?

Yeah, people will ask those.

Next up - getting your tongue pierced - trust me, it rocks hard!

Doug... I already have a tattoo ;) And nope, no chain.

Cate... haven't had those questions yet, but I'm sure I will. It didn't hurt when I first had it done, but today I feel like I've been punched in the face. Well, I did before I drank a martini... at work.

I always wondered about the getting a cold with the nose peircing thing... When you get one, let me know how it works out OK? Martinis for breakfast? Thank God it wasn't tequilla shots or the FCC would be banging down the door shortly :-)

Nooooo, I'd never do blue hair. Part of what makes my hair so dead sexy is the color. It's gorgeous. And I'm not being conceited... my hair stylist gets the credit.
